As January, the month of New Year’s resolutions, comes to an end, we wish to share a brilliant budget savings idea. By ordering frames knocked down and unassembled, you can save on packing and freight charges. Upon delivery to your shop, the frames can be glued, finished and upholstered to your heart’s content!
The freight cost could be up to 75% less. We, at Ressler, improve the savings by waiving the packing charge for knocked-down items. The image above depicts how one of our knocked-down chairs arrives.

This past Sunday (10/16), our products made an appearance on the hit ABC show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The episode featured the Korpai family who have devoted their time to studying and understanding dwarfism ever since their daughter was born with it. In typical Extreme Makover fashion, the family received a wonderful new home that was custom-built for their very specific needs. Their daughter Hailey’s room featured furniture that was perfectly tailored to her height. A few of these pieces were Ressler chairs that had been shortened and given fantastic custom finishing and upholstery. You can see them in the episode on Hulu or in the photos on this post!

There’s a snazzy new chair on the block. It’s our all-new 8008 Wingback chair from our Fall 2011 Collection! The chair’s style is inspired by late eighteenth-century English armchairs that had wings to protect their occupants from drafts while they sat in front of the fire. We think that the whimsical wings that flank the chair add a wonderful feeling of fun and playfulness. Coupled with the fabric of your choice, we can see it being the perfect compliment to a classical home or a funky, eclectic contemporary interior.

Welcome to 1928, the offical Blog of Ressler Importers! At Ressler, we are constantly working with interior designers to help make their visions a reality. With this blog, we hope to share some of the things that inspire us with the hope that it might be useful and inspirational to our friends, readers, and the designers we work with every day. Over the course of the summer, you can look forward to a number of fabulous features like designer interviews, historic house tours, sample mood boards, behind-the-scenes looks at our workshop, and announcements about projects that we’re working on.
We’re readying a whole slew of wonderful goodies for you to enjoy.
